Why Yak Cashmere?

The yak(Bos grunniens) is a species of long-haired domesticated cattle found throughout the Tibetan Plateau.

Yak cashmere is extra fine. Each fiber is smaller in diameter than sheep’s wool. That means it bends gently against your skin instead of poking it. Dermatologists and textile scientists agree: fiber thickness is what makes the difference.

We use yak cashmere, no prickly wool blend, never any chemical dye or bleach. Almost every competing fabric on the market tells you it’s natural, but they never specify fiber diameter.
